Jagan's three day Rythu Deeksha in Armoor begins today

YSR Congress Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy will begin his three day hunger strike at the Armoor assembly constituency in Nizamabad today. The YSRCP chief is staging the hunger strike to protest the government's indifference towards resolving the issues faced by farmers in the State.
TJAC opposes Jagan's visit
The visit of Jagan Mohan Reddy in Telangana has already triggered protests from the Telangana activists. The TJAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram has already called on the Telangana people to obstruct the Jagan's entry into Telangana. The TJAC has called for a College bandh Tuesday. Students in the region have staged rallies yesterday against Jagan's visit. Speaking to reporters, Kodandaram said that they would resist the entry of Seemandhra leaders in Telangana. He said that the people have opposed TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's visit to Telangana recently and they would do the same to Jagan. A call for bandh to educational institutions in Nizamabad protesting Jagan's visit.
DIG N Sanjay and Superintendent of Police D Ramakrishnaiah inspected the Narendra Garden premises yesterday where Jagan will sit for the hunger strike. Heavy security is deployed in the region to ensure peace in the region.
Preventive arrests
The police took 20 TRS party workers into custody in the morning today. As a preventive measure, they also confined Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao to house arrest. Telangana JAC chairman in Nizamabad Gopal Sharma was also kept under house arrest.
