Jagan group MLAs ready to face any consequences
Hyderabad
Former minister and Ramachandrapuram MLA Pilli Subash Chandra Bose said that they are ready to face any consequences after they had violated the whip issued by the Congress party and has voted in favor of the no-confidence motion yesterday.
Speaking to reporters at the YSR Congress Party office in Lotus Pond, Chandra Bose said that they are not concerned as to who has tabled the no-confidence motion. It is known that Jagan Mohan Reddy and N Chandrababu Naidu has been taking pot shots against each other for the past few months now. The TDP president even alleged yesterday that former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was involved in several scams during the time he was the Chief Minister. As the time for the no-confidence voting was getting closer, several MLAs of the Jagan Mohan Reddy's group wanted to stage a walkout protesting the way the TDP leader has criticized YSR. Jagan has spent several minutes on the phone with the MLAs and convinced them to vote against the Government.
Pilli Subash Chandra Bose said that it is not important as to who has introduced the no-confidence motion against the Government. He said that the current Government has failed to come to the aid of farmers in a time of distress. He said that the Jagan group MLAs even told earlier that they would support a no-trust move against the Government no matter who introduces it. Sticking to their word, they voted against the Government, he said. He also sounded confident that they would sweep the bye-elections.
Meanwhile, Jagan Mohan Reddy is to meet his group of MLAs at his Lotus Pond office today. The meeting will decide their future course of action, disqualification petition and other issues. 19 MLAs in Jagan group have voted against the government in the no-confidence move yesterday which the Government defeated 160-122.
